Please check the blog regularly. We will be posting updates, lesson information, and there is a monthly calendar on the right.

Make sure you scroll to the bottom to view the monthly video (goes along with the lesson theme).

“We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost” (Articles of Faith 1:1).

The outlines in this unit will help the young women understand the true nature of the members of the Godhead and the roles of each in fulfilling Heavenly Father’s plan of salvation. This knowledge will help the young women come to understand better their own divine identity and purpose as daughters of God.

I feel like this is a very timely article from LDS Living.  It goes right along with the Bishop's lesson this month.

Monday, September 15, 2014

Sorry, I haven't updated the blog in awhile.  I have taken the time this morning to update Personal Progress that goes along with August and September lessons.  The calendar is updated.  There is  a new video at the bottom of the page.  Remember the Ogden Temple Dedication is on Sunday.  NO regular meetings.  The General Women's Conference is on Saturday, September 27th.  Please try to attend.  If you need a ride contact one of the YW presidency members.

We now have new class presidencies.  If  you are in the presidency and have not been set apart, please let Marlee know so she can see that the Bishop takes care of this soon.

A few great activities to look forward to over the next few months are:

Baptisms for the Dead, October 30th.  We are, at this point, planning on leaving the church around 4:00 pm.

Golden Years Dinner.  This is a great evening to get to know the older members of our ward.  Do you realize they have followed you since you were just little and love to see how grown up each of you are becoming!  What a great time to talk to these wonderful brothers and sisters.  This activity will be in November.

Evening of Excellence is coming up on November 16th.  Take time between now and then to start thinking about the things you've accomplished this year with your Personal Progress and start gathering up things you would like to display.

In December (date yet to be determined), all the young women and young men will be invited to join us in a trip to Welfare Square and Temple Square.  It is always a great opportunity to feel of the spirit of the Christmas season at Temple Square.

Please calendar these important dates.  We would love for ALL of you to attend.

Hey everyone!

Sorry the blog has been neglected for the past month.  It's good to be feeling back to normal (for the most part).  It was so nice to feel the spirit in Young Women's today.  I was struck by a comment by Pres. Uchtdorf made in the video Sister Bastian showed the Laurels and MiaMaids.  He called the Savior "the gentle Savior."  I have never really thought about the term "gentle" applied to the Savior.  But it is exactly how the Savior was/is.

New Blog

We have been trying to send out text messages to remind you of Young Women Activities and we also have a Facebook group where we post reminders.  However, there are several girls that do not have a Facebook account and mentioned they liked the blog idea, as long as it is updated regularly.  That is our goal.  We will post updates, lesson information, and there is a monthly calendar on the right.

We are not getting rid of the Facebook group, but most of the messages there will link you to this blog.  Try to check it often and feel free to leave comments.
